University of Baguio’s STELA First Face-to-Face General Orientation in 3 Years After Strict Social Distancing Measures

The General Orientation was held on August 24, 2023, at the UB Gymnasium. This activity marks the comeback of many more face-to-face activities for students to look forward.

The General Orientation for the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts at the University of Baguio marked a significant milestone for new and returning students. This event served as a warm welcome and an informative introduction to the university’s academic community. The orientation aimed to familiarize students with key university personnel, academic processes, and the various offices available to assist them during their academic journey.

The event began with the introduction of essential figures within the university, including the executive committee, deans, program chairs, and esteemed faculty members. This pivotal moment established a sense of community and connection for the students, enabling them to recognize the leadership and expertise guiding their academic pursuits.

Additionally, student officers representing different programs were introduced during the orientation. This introduction allowed students to identify whom to approach when they have questions or concerns about their programs. Student Services

The primary purpose of the orientation was to inform students about the various offices and services available at the University of Baguio. Several key university service offices were featured during the orientation, with representatives sharing valuable information about their respective functions. These offices included:

  2. Security Office: Information on campus security measures and safety protocols was provided, ensuring students feel secure throughout their time at the university.

  6. Medical Clinic: The medical clinic’s services were outlined to ensure students know the campus healthcare facilities.

Following the introduction to university-wide services, students were divided into their respective programs for program-specific activities and announcements. This allowed students to gain insight into the unique features and expectations of their chosen fields of study.
