The STELA Student Body organized a three-day event from January 19 to 21, offering STELArs FREE snacks, coffee, and Ollie the Owl (STELA’s Official Mascot) stickers from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the 2nd floor lobby in the Centennial Building. The event brought smiles to students’ faces as they took their snack and sticker while waiting for their turn to get coffee. This small gesture from the officers became a simple yet meaningful part of STELArs’ day.

On the first day of the event, Ollie made an appearance for the event’s opening. STELA students showed great enthusiasm towards Ollie and took their time taking pictures with it. Many students expressed their gratitude for turning the event into an interactive one and expressed great joy at its opening.
As the second and third days went by, the students’ positive feedback kept the student-leaders going, as they still cut Ollie stickers that were popular while entertaining the students who were still arriving. Some students even expressed looking forward to the daily treats and suggested extending the event for the whole week due to high demand.

This gesture by the STELA Student Body, gave an opportunity for students to have a break from their academics and find relief from their stress through interactions with the student-leaders and Ollie. The event was scheduled for only three days, however, the strong student response proved the impact of small initiatives that leave an impression.
