Last September 11, 2025, the elected STELA Student Body Officers officially took their oath of service at the University of Baguio’s Oath-Taking Ceremony held at Centennial Hall. Organized by the Commission on Elections and Student Administrative Committee (COESAC) and Supreme Student Council (SSC), the event marked the beginning of their term as representatives of the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA).
The program featured an orientation where the student-leaders were briefed on policies, budgeting, and procedural guidelines for events. This session emphasized the values of transparency and responsibility, which are fundamental to effective student leadership. More importantly, the officers were encouraged to embrace a leadership style centered on service, understanding that their roles directly influence the growth of the STELA student community.
The officers were also inspired by talks focused on empowered leadership and creative approaches to projects. These discussions will help them lead with sincere dedication to positive change, practicing authentic leadership that prioritizes initiating improvements over simply holding positions of authority.
The formal oath-taking ceremony followed, where the STELA Student Body Officers pledged to
uphold the trust of their peers. With this renewed commitment, they are prepared to serve as
devoted representatives of STELA, carrying forward its proud legacy of dedicated service.
