The Sineranyag Film Festival 2025, hosted by The Mediatrix Society at the UB Centennial Hall, celebrated creativity and storytelling with films from BA Communication students. Highlighting the debut of Mobile Filmmaking by the KDE class, the event proved that powerful stories can be told even with limited tools. With films like Ika-Limang Litrato Sa El Corazon, San Damiano, and 30, this year’s festival honored passion, innovation, and the future of filmmaking at UB.

The BA English Language Program launched its EXCEL Series with the seminar “Confident Voices, Smart Choices!” on October 17, 2025, at Centennial Hall—featuring Dr. Joseph B. Quinto from Benguet State University in an engaging session that strengthened students’ communication skills and confidence through UB-BSU collaboration.

The University of Baguio, in partnership with Lindawan National High School, held a transformative Theater Workshop on Acting Techniques on October 8, 2025, at the UB Centennial Hall. Led by Mrs. Katherine Mae Nobleza-Estavillo, the workshop helped students build confidence, creativity, and collaboration—while supporting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

94 future educators take part in a data-driven readiness initiative under the university’s BEACON framework.

The School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) through the BSED Program held the seminar ‘Piaget’s Insights: Cultivating Smarter Study Habits for Stronger BEACONs’ on October 18, 2025, at the Centennial Library. With guest speaker Mr. Ian R. Alangdeo, RPm, CHRA, the event guided first-year pre-service teachers in connecting Piaget’s Theory of Cognitive Development with effective study habits that promote self-regulated learning and academic well-being. The activity strengthened STELA’s commitment to shaping reflective, competent, and compassionate educators, true BEACONs of Quality Education.
