On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, the delegation was formally welcomed by Dr. Kasama Chanawongse, Vice President of Krasae-Pattana School and Phon Commercial and Technical College. Dr. Kasama led the group to the pavilion of the statue of her mother, Dr. Penkae Chanawongse, the founder of the school. As part of a meaningful tradition, the delegation offered white roses and paid respect to the founder, emphasizing values of gratitude, respect, and cultural appreciation—key elements in fostering holistic education.

Dr. Kasama Chanawongse explains the institutional tradition of honoring the late Dr. Penkae Chanawongse before the commencement of academic activities.

According to Dr. Kasama, it is a long-standing practice of the institution to honor Dr. Penkae Chanawongse before touring guests around the school and the province. This practice is believed to seek guidance and good fortune for the day’s activity, while instilling values of humility, gratitude, and respect. By preserving and practicing this tradition, the institution actively upholds cultural heritage and shared community values, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, which emphasizes the protection and promotion of cultural heritage as a foundation of sustainable and inclusive societies.

The visit underscores the importance of cultural respect, educational leadership, and global partnerships in shaping future educators, while reinforcing the shared responsibility of institutions to work together in advancing sustainable and inclusive development through education.
