UB BA Communication students produces Audio-Visual Presentation for UBLES Small Voices

Carrying together youthful voices and creative energy, the University of Baguio BA Communication students collaborated with the bright minds of UBLES Small Voices to produce a heartfelt Audio-Visual Presentation prayer. The BA Communication team is composed of four (4) students: Steve Coyugan, Khiel Lachica, Cyrus Lausan, and Cedric Mabanglo; the team is being chosen and built based on their skills on video production.

University of Baguio Laboratory Elementary School Small Voices Choir, they may be called small but they’re strong and powerful. The collaboration of BA Communication with UBLES Small Voices Choir showcased more than just the talents but also showcased their dedication and commitment to be part of the choir. The BA Communication team chosen for creating the Audio-Visual Presentation also showcased their talent, skill, and knowledge that they have learned from academic outputs to extracurricular activities.

With each team member having their own skill from pre-production, production and to post-production. Not only was the team able to accomplish the creation of the AVP, the team also created a comfortable and safe space for the students of UBLES to interact with. During the video-making process, there was time allotted for the production team for sharing and suggesting ideas that could be done for the project; each member had the opportunity to share their thoughts and plans for the particular scenes. The Audio-Visual Presentation will be mainly used for UBLES school events such as monthly activities or intramurals.

“It was a fun and fulfilling experience working with the BA Communication students. I’m grateful that instead of outsourcing, we had the opportunity to collaborate with our fellow UBians. Working together made the process more harmonious and meaningful.” said Sir Kevin Liban, trainer of UBLES Small Voices, very grateful for the successful collaboration project.

With the coordination of the BA Communication Program Chair, Ms. Rizalina Castillo, and Mr. Kevin Liban, a faculty member from University of Baguio Laboratory Elementary School; with the assistance and approval of their Principal, Dr. Julius T. Gat-eb; and UB STELA Dean Dr. Antonio D. Mangaliag – the collaboration project became possible through a smooth discussion of each student’s needs in executing the project. The participants from BA Communication received certificates and tokens from UBLES; the recognition of the production team greatly pleased the pupils and students, as it acknowledged those they worked with that day.

As their voices are heard and their accomplishments seen, the UBLES Small Voices Choir not only presented their bright vocals but also their integrity to the community. The UB BA Communication Program will be the guide for communicating and creating, visuals to be seen, voices to be heard, and a community that is dedicated to their crafts for the University of Baguio.
