ACADEMIC OLYMPICS 2025: STELA Crowned Overall Champion

The School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) brought home the title of Overall Champion in the Academic Olympics 2025 with the theme “P.O.W.E.R — Pursuit of Outstanding Wisdom, Excellence, and Recognition,” on October 13, 2025.

From October 6 to October 8, the Academic Olympics 2025 competitions were held at the FGB Hall with various categories—Video Awareness Campaign, Digital Photography, Photo Essay, Quiz Bee, Debate, and Extemporaneous Speech. In which categories, STELA students showed their outstanding wisdom and excellence through creativity, knowledge, skills, and confidence.

The Quiz Bee competition marked a strong start, with STELA representatives advancing to the final round and ultimately winning the championship. As the= Extemporaneous Speech concluded on provoking topics such as success, excellence, and global recognition, STELA once again secured the Championship, with confidence and pride. The Debate, through an Asian Parliamentary Debate format, was conquered by STELA as they preceded to the preliminaries up to the finals, bagging the 2nd Runner Up and 1st Runner Up for both groups representing STELA. Lastly, on the Video Awareness Campaign, focusing on raising concerns on relevant issues aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), STELA was placed as 2nd Runner Up.

These accomplishments reflect STELA’s commitment to the UBian Spirit of Wisdom and Excellence, along with brilliance, creativity, and determination. It showed not only the students’ wit to join and compete, but STELA’s supportive environment for its students.

The concluded Academic Olympics 2025 supported the SDG #1 on No Poverty, SDG #5 on Gender Equality, SDG #13 on Climate Action, and SDG #17 on Partnership for the Goals.
