The BA English Language (BAEL) Program continued its EXCEL Series with the much awaited “𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧” held on November 5, 2025, at the FGB Hall. Serving as this year’s English Fest, the event highlighted the program’s goal of nurturing confident communicators and fostering academic excellence through creative engagement and interactive learning.

The English Fest gathered BAEL students for a full day of language-centered activities that combined competition, collaboration, and fun. Participants tested their knowledge and skills in various games, including Quiz Bee, Spelling Bee, Pictionary, Foreign Language Challenge, Character Impersonation, Black-Out Poetry, Readathon, Scrabble, and Riddles. Each activity was designed to celebrate the English language and its diverse areas of study, from linguistics and literature to communication and performance.

Hosted by 𝘈𝘮𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘯 and 𝘓𝘪𝘻 𝘗𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘨𝘢𝘯, the event’s lively atmosphere encouraged students to participate actively and showcase their linguistic creativity. Game masters 𝘚𝘪𝘳 𝘑𝘰𝘩𝘯 𝘖𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘙𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘴, 𝘚𝘪𝘳 𝘈𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘋𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘯, 𝘝𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘚𝘪𝘵𝘰, 𝘈𝘮𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘯, 𝘒𝘺𝘭𝘢 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘯, and 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘏𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘢 led the activities with enthusiasm, making each round both educational and entertaining. Prizes were awarded to winners of every game, adding a spirit of friendly competition to the celebration.

More than a festival of games, “𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧” reaffirmed BAEL’s mission to cultivate students’ vital skills for academic and professional growth: communication competence and collaborative spirit. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the event supports 𝙎𝘿𝙂 4 (𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣) by promoting inclusive, engaging learning opportunities; 𝙎𝘿𝙂 8 (𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙩𝙝) by developing critical thinking and communication skills essential to BAEL students put Words in Motion through creativity, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun!”
