January 20, 2025 – The University of Baguio School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts, in collaboration with the University of Baguio High School, hosted an orientation for the Phase 2 in-campus deployment of Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) pre-service teachers. The event took place at the University of Baguio High School campus.
Nearly 40 students from both majors attended the orientation, radiating enthusiasm and optimism. The session, held at E Building, Room E601, aimed to equip pre-service teachers with essential information, reminders, and motivation as they transition to this critical phase of their deployment. This follows the earlier Phase 1, Field Study 1, which occurred during the first five months of 2024.

he gathering was spearheaded by none other than esteemed educators, Ms. Margie S. De Vera, the Assistant Principal of Junior High School, and the Assistant Principal of Senior High School, Ms. Jenett C. Flores. Their inspiring messages highlighted the importance of preparedness, professionalism, and unwavering commitment in the teaching profession. This aligns with PPST Domain 7: Personal Growth and Professional Development, particularly Strand 4, which emphasizes professional reflection and learning to improve practice.

A key highlight of the orientation was an open forum, where the pre-service teachers were encouraged to ask questions and share their insights. This interactive segment showed the University’s dedication to supporting its students throughout their deployment journey, embodying PPST Domain 6: Community Linkages and Professional Engagement, particularly Strand 3, which focuses on professional ethics and collaboration.
As the pre-service teachers embark on this significant phase, the University of Baguio’s commitment to nurturing future educators is evident. By fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, the institution ensures its graduates are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to make a meaningful impact in their students’ lives.
