The Testimonial

Having been invited as one of the students to represent the University of Baguio in the Roundtable
Discussion on the INTI International Leadership Forum hosted by INTI International University & Colleges
Malaysia is truly an honor and a remarkable experience.

As a student leader, writer, and pre-service teacher, I believe that youth participation in international forums is essential in developing students’ communication and networking skills, vis-a-vis strengthening their global participation and involvement. As young as we are, being involved in educational discussions, such as this, promotes active learning by exchanging ideas among students with varying beliefs, backgrounds, and stories.

This recent international endeavor that I have attended informed me of the latest trends on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and Belt Road Initiative (BRI) and how graduates and young talents would help ensure the recovery of their country’s economic condition in a post-pandemic era.

During our Roundtable Discussion with the Speaker, Datuk Tan Yew Sing, I realized how important it is to listen and be open to the ideas and suggestions of students as they are also capable of providing relevant and wise inputs.
Indeed, it is an amazing experience to be part of such an event. Looking forward to more.
